My name is Olivia and I get quite excited about other peoples businesses

Like entirely passionate, can feel your fun and tell very quickly if your business has the legs to be bigger than it is, AND get you there.

I'VE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE

i thought that being me would ruin my chances at being a 'proper' business owner

I came out of uni with the mindset that I HAD to be professional, I HAD to be 'PG' and I HAD to dilute myself to see success because people like polished. But to be honest, everyone saw through the bullshit and could see my personality was way more unhinged than I was letting on, I felt uncomfortable putting on blazers and it all just looked and felt fake. I was damaging the trust in potential customers and even worse, getting no work.

my art teacher told me not to bother

I studied Fine art originally and found my place in painting, particularly land and sea scapes before being told by my lecturer that my abstract paintings wouldn't get me a good grade because it wasn't realism. (I got an A* just to prove her wrong)

So I took up a Foundation Art Diploma where my course lead suggested I worked with type as all my notes and pieces nearly always included calligraphy or handwritten texts. I ran with it, loved it and fell in love with the way that graphics can tell stories, evoke emotions and play into people's perception of feeling.

Head in the clouds

My ambition has always been strong. My dreams have always been big and I was always the kid in school that was snapped at to stop daydreaming or chatting with my friends around the table. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't dream or move to build my future and it fuels my fire to be the champion for yours too.

Meet the office dog, Mallie

Mallie is a Macedonian Rescue dog, she's a true Heinz 57 blend and is the love and bane of my life simultaneously. High energy, high drive and a true lovable rogue Mallie has taught me patience, resilience and the importance of consistency.

i am actually a fully qualified designer

I left uni with a First Class honours and moved back to my home town in Portsmouth and worked for a marketing agency. Which kind of just broke me down.

Being qualified with a degree means I have the practical and theoretical knowledge in design but my lived, breathed, first hand experience being a solution provider and problem solver is what makes my clients achieve their ambitious goals.

I always hated it when I was younger but now these are my superpower

I'm an empath & a people reader

I would start with the cheesy 'since I was little I was creative' but my lecturers told me this wasn't the way to start a professional about section however I'd be lying if I said I wasn't the creative kid at school, and I'm equally not your typical professional business owner.

I was the girl at school that was a bit nerdy, did well but was described as 'wise beyond her years', far too emotional and always making things about herself. What I learned into my adulthood was that I was actually a huge empath who used her own stories to validate others. I could read people in ways others couldn't, I always had high expectations of myself and pushed myself really hard to get the things that I wanted.

ADHD runs HEAVY in my bones but I didn't get officially diagnosed until I was 24. ADHD is my superpower and a huge advantage for my wedding vendors (don't get me wrong, it's not always easy)

I wanted to learn more about how to use design better so I set out for a First in Graphic Design at the Arts University Bournemouth
